Leonidas Travel can take you on a decadent culinary trip with exciting gastronomy at Michelin starred restaurants......
Noel in Zagreb is a new one-star restaurant this year. Here, chef Goran Kočiš offers four- and seven-course set menus starting at 430 HRK, or around $65 USD. Michelin calls it a “fashionable restaurant with soft lighting and trendy, internationally inspired furnishings.”
Draga di Lovrana, located in a hotel in Lovran on Croatia’s Kvarner Gulf, is also new to Michelin’s starred ranks. It’s a la carte menu draws on local ingredients and traditional Mediterranean flavors with a “subtle Italian-French influence,” according to Michelin.
The three other starred restaurants in Michelin’s guide to Croatia each retained one star from last year: Monte in Rovinj, 360˚ in Dubrovnik, and Pelegrini in Šibenik. The full Michelin guide to Croatia also includes four new lower-priced Bib Gourmand restaurants, and while there are just five starred-restaurants in the guide, it lists 63 restaurants total.
“This selection shows the potential of the Croatian gastronomic scene, enriched by multiple influences; from Mediterranean tastes in Dalmatia, Italian influences in Istria and Slavic tastes from Zagreb to Slavonia, which together creates a unique culinary identity,” says Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the MICHELIN Guides.
The chef prioritises locally sourced produce in recipes which are balanced and of the highest quality, creating modern, imaginative and highly memorable dishes. Breathtaking location, with views from the dining room and outdoor terrace, plus a choice of attractive guestrooms. – MICHELIN guide inspectors, about Draga di Lovrana restaurant.
